We will be staying at Hotel Mandala Boutique in Kathmandu and teahouses during the trek. All accommodations are on twin-shared basis. Single supplement will be served on request and will cost an additional 250 USD. Randonnee Nepal will arrange rooms with attached washrooms; however, teahouses in some places only have shared washing and toilet facilities. Also note that single rooms are readily available in Kathmandu and the trekking regions at lower elevation but it might be difficult to find them at higher elevations.
Breakfast will be served in Kathmandu whereas all meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner) will be provided during the trek. While trekking, we can enjoy Nepalese food as well the more common international cuisine (Tibetan, Continental, Italian, Indian, etc.). Breakfast and dinner will be served from the lodge menu where we spend the night whereas lunch will be served on the way to the next destination. There will also be welcome and farewell dinners for guests.
For Langtang Valley Trek, there will be one leader, assistant leader (4 trekkers: 1 assistant guide) and Sherpa porters for luggage carrying (2 trekkers: 1 porter). This arrangement ensures that even if anybody in the group gets sick or is unable to carry on, the trip can still go ahead as planned for the rest of the group. We can run the trek for groups of any size, but usually, it is a maximum of ten people as we've found this to be the optimum size for a successful trip. If you would like to make a group booking for more than ten people together, we can arrange this too.
Physical Condition & Experience Requirements
Langtang Valley Trek is a moderate trek suitable for passionate walkers who can walk for around 5-7 hours a day with a light day pack. Walking in higher altitudes is more physically demanding than walking in lower altitudes; however, if we are in excellent health with average physical fitness and have a positive attitude, self-confidence and strong determination, we can accomplish this trek successfully. Exercising and jogging regularly for a few weeks prior to the trip is a good idea to enhance our strength and stability. Past hiking experience would be an asset but no technical skill is required for this trip. It is vital for participants with pre-existing medical conditions such as heart, lung, and blood diseases to consult their doctor before taking the trip. It is also advised that you inform Himalayan Glacier about your medical condition before booking the trek.
Best Time to Travel
Spring (March to May) and Autumn (September to November) are the best season for this trek. Although we can do the trekking during winter, the cold temperature might not be suitable for everyone.

Trekking guide and porters
Trekking guide are very responsible person who will assist you in your whole trek. They have a very broad knowledge about geography, Flora, Fauna, culture, himalayas and trails. Trekking guide will assist and brief all your questions and confusion during trek. The company will provide you the best and authorized guide to make your holiday. Potters are very strong and poor Nepali people who will carry all your baggage where ever you go. Don’t Forget to tip them for their service.
When R.N.T plan your itinerary, we take everything into consideration about the altitude and other factors to minimize the chance of getting AMS. Altitude gains-your trek is designed to gain around 600 meters (vertical) altitude daily. Acclimatization - rest days are included in itinerary to help body adjust to new altitude. Each trekker must accept responsibility and trek slowly - observe the steps at which the porters and guide walks. There are no worthwhile prizes for getting to destination in record time - generally AMS. Treatment:
Mild symptoms - staying at same altitude may resolve symptoms. If there is no improvement, descend to lower level. Severe (HAPE + HACE) - descend immediately, as failure to do so could result in death. If symptoms persist you may need to be carried to nearest medical facility or evacuated by helicopter.
We strongly recommend the purchase of trip cancellation and travel insurance. This comprehensive travel insurance provides coverage for trip cancellation and interruption, travel delays, loss of baggage and travel documents, baggage delay, medical expenses and emergency assistance.
Climate and Weather of Nepal
