Lobuche East Peak climbing is one of the most popular climbing object in Everest. The Lobuche peak is one of the best peak destination for adventurous mountaineers which takes you towards the peak of Lobuche village located in the Khumbu Region. This Lobuche peak lies near to the Mt. Everest in Khumbu valley.

Lobuche peak has two summits named Lobuche East peak (6119m) and Lobuche west Peak (6145 m) which are connected through the knife edge like ridge. We can reach the Lobuche base camp easily with the short ascend from the Lobuche Village. The Lobuche peak dramatically towers above the village looking as if the villages is sleeping in its lap. This can be easily pinpointed from the trail to Everest trek.
This Lobuche East peak climbing is popular among the two summits.

Lobuche East Peak Climbing Difficulty

Lobuche Easy Peak climbing is quite difficult and a bit more challenging than other peaks nearby. This Lobuche east peak trek is classified as PD+ rating. The climbers and trekkers need to be quite experienced to ascend this technical peak. Moreover the altitude, exposers and weather condition creates problems anyway during the peak climbing. We prepare ourselves for ascending the Lobuche with a break at Everest Base Camp. Getting superb stunning views from the Mt Lobuche is for sure which makes it popular among Himalayan trekking peaks.

Route of Lobuche East Peak Climbing

We start our journey with a fly to Luka from Kathmandu. We will enjoy the 40 minutes scenic flight around the Himalayas. From Lukla we start our trekking by heading towards the Namche Bazar passing Phakding Village. We will be staying for Acclimatization in Namche bazar. Next day we ascend towards the Tengboche following Dingboche where we will take a day break again to acclimate. We will reach Lobuche village located under the Lobuche peak where we will spend our overnight.
Next day, We will make our way towards the Everest base camp passing through the GorakShep and returning to the Lobuche. Making our way up to the Lobuche high camp on Next day is a step closer to our destination. On the very next day we head towards the Lobuche peak. We will capture some moments there and spend wonderful times enjoying the stunning views of the mountains around. After a while we head back to High Camp. Next day we trek to the Namche Bazar crossing the Pangboche. We will catch a flight from Lukla to Kathmandu afterwards.

Day 01Arrival in Kathmandu,welcome at airport and transfer to hotelOn your arrival our representative will pick you up and escort you to the confirmed hotel. You can take rest and freshen up afterwards. Later in the evening we will have a wonderful welcome dinner to introduce you to the typical Nepalese culture and Cuisine.

Day 02Kathmandu (1300m/4264ft): trip preparationAfter your breakfast we will group up for a meeting among the groups and trek guide. We will let you clear up all the doubts regarding the trip. Moreover we will be getting our necessary equipment for the journey. We will make sure all the items are working properly. We will have a leisure time rest of the day. We stay for overnight in Kathmandu preparing to leave early tomorrow.

Day 03Fly to Lukla (2,800m/9,184ft) then trek to Phakding (2,652m/8,700ft): 40 min flight, 3-4 hours trekWe take early morning flight to lukla. We will have 40 minute scenic flight around the Himalayas. Enjoying the beautiful views of the mountain and green hill landscapes we reach Tenzing-Hillary Airport. After having breakfast we start our 1st day of trekking, we head towards the Phakding. Passing through the prosperous village of Lukla we have a short hike up to the Phakding.We stay for overnight in Phakding.

Day 04Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3,440m/11,283ft): 5-6 hours Right after breakfast we leave Phakding heading towards the Namche Bazar. We pass through the lush pine forest along with the DudhKoshi in the sideways. After hking for about 5-6 hours we reach our destination. We experience the beautiful scene of the Himalayas and the scenery landscapes of forests throughout our trekking. Crossing various suspension bridges make you feel awesome. We stay for overnight in Namche Bazar.

Day 05Acclimatization day in Namche perhaps hike to Everest view hotel (3900m.)5 hrs. LodgeToday we take a day break for Acclimatization. We roam around the village explore its beauty. Hiking up to the various monasteries and check points can be another option for today. We visit various famous places in Namche Bazaar today. Enjoying the beautiful views of the Mt Everest and other peaks we have a wonderful stay at Namche bazar. We stay for overnight in Namche Bazar.

Day 06Namche Bazaar to Tengboche (3,870m/12,694ft): 5- 6 hoursafter breakfast we head towards the Tengboche. We will have an easy hike upto the Phunki village. After ascending for a while we come to the Tengboche Village. We can find a very famous Tengboche Monastery located in that village. Exploring the monastery with the majestic view of the Mt Everest we stay for overnight in Tengboche Village.

Day 07Tengboche to Dingboche (4,360 m/14,300 ft): 5-6 hours Today also we will go for an early morning visit at the Tengboche Monastery to enjoy the beautiful morning sunrise sight. We take some pictures and capture this mesmerizing moments in this monastery. After that we head back and have our breakfast preparing to head towards the Dingboche. We trek through the easy path that leads into the lush forest full of birch, Conifers and red-white Rhododendrons. Coming across the Pangboche and visiting its beautiful monastery is quite fun. We will reach the Dingboche passing the Imja Valley. We will stay for overnight in Dingboche.

Day 08Dingboche: AcclimatizationToday again we stay for acclimatization and take a day break at Dingboche. After breakfast we will hike up to the Chhukung passing through the stone-walled fields with ImjaKhola passing sideways. We will be surrounded by beautiful Lhotse and AmaDablam mountains throughout our way. Encountering the beautiful icy streams on the way to chhukung we find island peak soaring above us. After having our lunch we check our equipment if they are working properly. We head back to the Dinboche shortly afterwards and Stay for overnight.

Day 09Dingboche to Lobuche (4940 m/16,207 ft): 5-6 hoursToday after breakfast we head towards the Lobuche. After climbing gradually we reach towards the Duglha located at the end of moraine of Khumbu Glacier. We will have a steep ascend leading us to the ChupkiLhara afterwards. Encountering array of stones and prayers flag is common in this area. These are built in the memory of lost mountaineers during this peak summit. Following the mesmerizing view of the snowcapped peaks we reach Lobuche. We stay for overnight in Lobuche.

Day 10Lobuche to GorakShep (5,170 m/16,961ft), visit Everest Base Camp (5,364 m/17,594 ft): 6-7 hoursAfter breakfast we follow the trail to the Everest base camp. History says this Everest base camp was once the Vast Gorakshep Lake. We move straight ahead following the professional experienced Sherpa as the routes are quite misleading and confusing. The path is strenuous due to low air pressure and high altitude and we have to pass through the rocky dunes, moraine and steams. We reach Everest base camp shortly afterwards. Enjoying the mesmerizing view of the mountain we head back to the GorakShep afterwards for overnight stay.

Day 11Gorakshep to Kala Patthar (5545m/18,192ft] and back to Lobuche (4940m/16,207ft): 7-8 hoursWe will be heading towards the Kalapaththar early in the morning. In the dark morning and ice cold temperatures we make our way through the steep paths. After trekking for a while glorious mountain peaks starts to reveal itself. On reaching the Kala patthar we get the 360 and the close up view of the beautiful panoramic mountain ranges. After spending the quality time and capturing the wonderful moments we head back to the Lobuche afterwards. We stay for overnight in Lobuche.

Day 12Lobuche to High Camp (5,400m/17,712ft): 3-4 hoursToday we will be heading towards the High camp of Lobuche peak. After a short hike for 3-4 hours we reach our destination. The trails are steeper and rocky all the way up to the High camp. While enjoying the beautiful peaks up above we make our way through the rocky moraine. We reach our camp shortly after. We set up our camp there and spend rest of the day practicing the basics of mountaineering and preparing for tomorrow. We stay for overnight at High Camp.

Day 13Lobuche High Camp to Summit (6119m/20,070 ft) and back to High Camp: 8-10 hoursWe wake up early in the morning around 1 am and have our breakfast. Today is the day we conquer Lobuche peak. We will head towards the peak shortly afterwards because in the afternoon there is high chance of strong winds becoming obstacle for the summit. We follow the rocky path that leads us to the peak using ropes. Panoramas are all around us till we make it up to the top. We get magnificent view of the Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Amadablam, Cholatse, Pumori, and many more. We spend some quality time and capture this beautiful moment together, heading back to the High camp shortly afterwards.

Day 14Contingency/reserve dayThis day is separated for the summit if the things don’t go as planned due to the weather conditions.

Day 15: Lobuche High Camp to Pangboche (3930m /12900 ft): 8-9 hours
We head towards the Pangboche early in the morning. After breakfast we trek downhill from the High camp following the route of Everest base camp. After taking lunch break head towards the Pherinche enjoying the magnificent view of the Mt Amadablam from the distance. Walking into the hillside covered by beautiful rhododendron and juniper tress we reach the Pangboche. We stay for overnight in Pangboche.

Day 15Lobuche High Camp to Pangboche (3930m /12900 ft): 8-9 hoursWe head towards the Pangboche early in the morning. After breakfast we trek downhill from the High camp following the route of Everest base camp. After taking lunch break head towards the Pherinche enjoying the magnificent view of the Mt Amadablam from the distance. Walking into the hillside covered by beautiful rhododendron and juniper tress we reach the Pangboche. We stay for overnight in Pangboche.

Day 16Pangboche to Namche Bazaar: 4-5 hoursToday we head back to the Namche bazaar retracing our steps. We will be ascending down to the Imja khola passing through the forest. Exploring the Monastery on our way, we continue our trek through the Hillsides full of rhododendrons and Juniper. We can encounter local to wild animals during this trek like Mountain Goats, Snow Leopards, Pheasant etc. we will reach Namche Bazar shortly afterwards. We stay for overnight in Namche Bazar.

Day 17Namche Bazaar to Lukla: 6-7 hoursWe will be descending towards the Lukla today. After breakfast we pass through the rocky terrains which makes our legs shaky. We cross several suspension bridges on our way. Heading back to the Lukla is easy as we are just retracing our steps back. We stay for overnight in Lukla preparing to fly tomorrow.

Day 18Fly to KathmanduWe will catch an early morning flight to Kathmandu. On reaching Kathmandu we escort you to the designated hotel where you can take rest and freshen up afterwards. Rest of the day can be spent according to your will. Later in the evening we will host farewell dinner to celebrate the successful completion of the journey. We will be preparing for Final departure tomorrow. Overnight Stay in Kathmandu.
