Mera Peak 6654m
Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu (1,300m/4,264ft) and transfer to the hotel
Our airport representative will receive you outside the airport terminal hall and transfer you to the designated hotel. Look for you name on placard or display card.
Note: If you happen to arrive Kathmandu before 4 PM, you will be briefed about the trip by our guide the very day your arrival. So make sure that you ask all the questions related to the trip. But if you arrive after 4 PM, the pre-trip meeting will be held next day in the morning.
During the meeting, please clear the due balance, if any, and sign the legally binding trip form as well as the non-liability disclaimer.

Day 02: Kathmandu sightseeing and trip preparation
After morning breakfast, we will start our sightseeing trip at around 8:30 AM. A private vehicle with professional tour guide will be at your disposal.
We will visit the following landmarks which are listed on UNESCO world heritage sites:
Pashupatinath:
Pashupatinath Temple is the most sacred Hindu Temple dedicated to lord Shiva. It is located about 5km east of central Kathmandu along the bank of Bagmati River. Non-Hindus are strictly prohibited to enter the main gate of temple but the ongoing rituals can be observed from the vantage point next to Bagmati River. You will also observe the cremation process of dead Hindu bodies.
Boudhanath:
Boudhanath is one of the holiest Buddhist sites in Kathmandu valley. Built in 5th century, this mystical stupa has four pairs of eyes of Lord Buddha in four cardinal directions keeping an eternal watch over the people and their wrong deeds. Here you will encounter many Tibetan Buddhist making a holy Kora around the stupa; spinning the prayer wheels.
Swayambhunath:
Find peace and prayer on the small ridge of Swayambhunath located in the northwest of the Kathmandu valley. The stupa overs most parts of the valley; offering visitors panoramic views of city and lush hills around it. The stupa has stood as a hallmark of faith and harmony for centuries with Hindu and Buddhist. Also known as “Monkey Temple”, it is believed that the stupa was evolved spontaneously when the valley was created out of a primordial lake more than 2,000 years ago.
The rest of time in Kathmandu is free for checking the trip necessities and catching some last-minute shopping in Thamel area near your hotel.
Day 03: Fly from Kathmandu – Lukla and trek to Paiya (Chutok) (2,730m/8,956ft): 40 minute flight, 5 – 6 hours trek
After early morning breakfast, we drive to Tribhuvan Domestic Airport to take 40 minutes scenic trans-Himalayan flight to Tenzing and Hillary Airport at Lukla (2,804m). As we arrive at Lukla, we will meet our rest of crew and walk via jungle trail, cross a bridge over Handi khola to reach Surke Village. From here, we take a southern route and cross the Chutok La Pass before getting into the village of Paiyan, also called Chutok.

Day 04: Paiya – Panggom (2,846m/9,393ft) – 4 – 5 hours
Today we start with a descending journey through a forest trail until we reach a small bridge to cross it. From here, we walk via slippery trail and cross the Kari La Pass. We walk through dense forest of rhododendron and bamboo on a narrow mountain alley. Today we get to admire the magnificence of DudhKoshi valley. We continue walking towards Panggom village where farming and trading is still the way of life.

Day 05: Panggom – Ningsow (2,863m/9,186ft) – 7 – 8 hours
After breakfast, we wlak on a trail that leads to cross the Panggom La Pass. Then we climb on a steady pace and turn north to walk on a trail that crosses Peseng Kharka Khola. From Peseng Kharka Khola, we take a trail that crosses Ningsow Khola (stream) before reaching the Ningsow village. Overnight in Ningsow
Day 06: Ningsow – Chhatra Khola (2,800m/9,186ft) – 7 – 8 hours
From Ningsow, we ascend first and then drop down for a while before climbing to Ramailo Danda. Ramailo Danda commands superb views of Mera Peak and Salpa. Negotiating multiple uphill and downhill sections, we enter into the Makalu Barun National Park. The trail from here to Chhatra Khola is called Pasang Lhamu trail. On the way, if lucky, we might even encounter elusive Red Panda.

Day 07: Chhatra Khola – Kothe (3,691m/12,109ft) – 6 – 7 hours
Today we walk north on the main trail to Mera Peak. After walking on another trial to the Majang Khola, we take a trail which moves alongside the Hinku Khola. From here, our trial continues straight ahead towards Tashing Ongma which houses some seasonal tea shops. Crossing the bridge over Sanu Khola and waking on a relatively leveled trail, we finally reach the village of Kothe.

Day 08: Kothe – Thaknak (4,358m/14,297ft) – 3 – 4 hours
Today we climb along the ridge of the Hinku Khola on the shadow of mighty Mera Peak. Taking a lunch at Gondishung, we continue through 200 years old Lungsumga Gompa where there are inscription of Mera Peak on the rock along with its route. A short walk takes us to Thaknak – a summer grazing area with primitive lodges and shops.

Day 09: Thaknak – Khare (5,045m/16,486ft) – 2 – 3 hours
Today we walk beyond Thaknak and follow the lateral moraine of Dig Glacier to Dig Kharka; which offers incredible views of Charpate Himal. We then climb through the moraines to the neck of the Hinku Nup and Shar Glaciers. A more steep ascend takes us to Khare. Herewe can enjoy the mighty north face of Mera Peak. After lunch, we can walk in and around Khare.

Day 10: Khare: Acclimatization and Pre-climb training
Today we set a day aside for acclimatization and pre-climb train to enhance our skills and confidence. Our climbing leader will train on a climbing techniques and teach us to best way of using the climbing gears like ice axe, harness, ascenders, boots and crampon. The training also includes the best way of using the rope.

Day 11: Khare – Mera High Camp (5,780m/18,958ft) – 6 – 7 hours
Today we walk through the rock strewn steep trail to Mera Peak Base Camp. From here, we climb further to pass the Mera La Pass and reach Mera High Camp. The path is along a rocky trail which is quite challenging and it can be hazardous if it has snowed recently as there are many crevasses on the way. We finally make our way to the top of rock bank which is marked by a large cairn. Here we set a high camp on a backdrop of Mt. Everest, Makalu, Cho Oy, Lhotse, Nuptse, Chamlang and Baruntse.

Day 12: Summit Day: Mera Peak High Camp – Mera Peak Summit (6,461m) and back to Khare (5,045m/16,547ft) – 8 – 9 hours
Today is the day that we have been desperately waiting for. We wake at around 2 AM and after breakfast, we start our climb gently via non-technical route. The route follow SW entering a broad comb on the left of the steep slope (450m). From summit, we can witness an excellent view of the five of the world’s highest peaks. After some moments at the peak, we retrace our steps back to Khare.

Day 13: Reserve day for contingency
This day is allocated as a spare day. As the weather of mountains are highly unpredictable, there is no guarantee that we will have favorable weather on our scheduled day for the Mera Summit. Therefore, this day scheduled to compensate the itinerary in case we are unable to summit the peak on desired day. However, if everything goes as planned, this day is not required.
Day 14: Khare – Kothe (3,600m/11,808ft) – 4 – 5 hours
Leaving mountains behind, we climb down to Thagnak before dropping down to Kothey. After reaching Kothe, we celebrate our success by trying out local cuisine and wines.

Day 15: Kothe – Thuli Kharka (4,300m/14,107ft) – 5 – 6 hours
Today we continue towards Thuli Kharka. First we climb and then descend to cross several tributaries of the Inkhu Khola before reaching a forked trail nearby Taktho. From here we choose the right side trial and walk past the chorten before dropping down on a steep trail to Thuli Kharka.

Day 16: Thuli Kharka – Lukla via Zatrwa La Pass: 6 – 7 hours
Today we pass the Zatrwa-La Pass at 4,600 m to drop down to Lukla. As we cross the pass, we get the fascinating rewards of magnificent Lukla valley at the backdrop of Cho Oyu, Kongde Peak, Numbur Himal and Kusum Khangru. First we descend down to Chutang and then walk straight forward to Lukla village.

Day 17: Lukla – Kathmandu – 40 minute
Today we catch an early morning flight to Kathmandu. After lunch, we can take a rest or do some souvenir shopping. If you want, you can explore the remaining landmarks of Kathmandu which you have missed exploring on Day 02.
Evening: Attend farewell dinner hosted by us on typical Nepali restaurant to celebrate the successful completion of the trip.
Day 18: Final Departure
Your Adventure vacation in Nepal comes to an end today. Our airport representative will drive you back to Tribhuvan International Airport (3-hours prior flight) for your final departure.
